How Travel Advisors Can Create a Client Onboarding Workflow in Wix Studio

A smooth client onboarding process is essential for travel advisors to ensure a positive experience from the very beginning. With Wix Studio, you can easily create a customized client onboarding workflow that aligns with your brand and services. Here’s how to get started.

1. Create from Scratch

Start by designing a dedicated onboarding page or section on your Wix Studio website. This can include forms, welcome messages, and an overview of what clients can expect. Wix Studio’s drag-and-drop editor makes it simple to create a layout that’s both professional and user-friendly. You can also integrate automation tools to streamline tasks like sending welcome emails or scheduling consultations.

I recommend creating a workflow from scratch so you can have the freedom to completely customize your process based on your needs.

To get started, navigate to your site's Dashboard > Customers & Leads > Contacts > More Actions menu (three dots) > Workflows.

2. Name Your Steps

Once you’ve created the onboarding page, break down the process into clear, manageable steps. Naming each step helps clients understand the journey ahead and what’s expected of them. For example, your steps might include “Initial Consultation,” “Travel Preferences Survey,” and “Booking Confirmation.” Each step can be linked to specific forms, resources, or instructions on your website, ensuring clients have everything they need at their fingertips.

Feel free to add as many steps as you need and name them whatever you'd like.

3. Add Your Contacts

You will notice that each step requires a contact. Add your clients to easily pinpoint where each one is at in your onboarding process.

This does not trigger any emails or notifications to your contacts; it just provides visual organization to help you keep track of where your clients are at.

When you've completed a task for a specific client (ie., "send itinerary"), you can simply drag and drop that card to the next step in your workflow.
